How we collect, use, and protect your information
This website, lyovial.ca (the “Site”), is owned and operated by LyoVial, a member of the Evik Diagnostics group of companies (“LyoVial,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). If you have a question or complaint about our personal information handling practices, please contact us at hello@lyovial.ca.
In this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), the terms “we,” “our,” and “us” mean LyoVial, and the terms “you” and “your” refer to users of the Site, including visitors and prospective or existing LyoVial clients.
This Policy applies to the information we obtain through your use of the Site as described below.
Our Site is hosted and served by a third-party web hosting and content delivery provider. Information submitted through the Site may be stored or processed on that provider's servers, and on the servers of the form-handling service described below.
When you visit our Site, we collect personal information. Personal information is information that identifies you, or that could be combined with other information to identify you. We collect it in the following ways:
Information you provide to us directly: When you use our contact form or otherwise reach out to us, we may ask for your name, email address, company or institution, and details about your project (such as formulation type, target batch size, and timeline). We also receive your contact information if you email us directly.
LyoVial does not process payments or sell products directly through the Site. If you do not wish to provide the personal information requested on our contact form, you do not have to — it may simply mean we're unable to respond to your inquiry.
Information we collect automatically: We may collect some information automatically when you visit the Site, such as the geographic location associated with your IP address, device type, pages viewed, links clicked, browser type and settings, and the date and time of your visit. This may be collected directly or through an analytics service such as Google Analytics. This helps us understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
Our Site may use cookies — small pieces of information stored on your device — to support basic site functionality and, if enabled, analytics such as Google Analytics.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies. You can configure your browser to block cookies or notify you when a cookie is set. Our Site can generally still be used without accepting cookies, though some functionality may be limited.
We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:
We do not share your personal information except in the following limited circumstances:
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If we determine we have collected personal information from someone younger than 18, we will take reasonable steps to remove it from our systems. If you are under 18, please do not submit personal information through the Site.
Personal information you submit may be transferred to, processed, and stored on the servers of our hosting and form-handling providers, which may be located in Canada, the United States, or elsewhere. By submitting personal information through the Site, you acknowledge it may be stored and accessed in those jurisdictions and will be subject to the laws of the country in which it is stored.
We take reasonable precautions to protect the personal information you provide, including limiting who can access it. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you transmit to us; you acknowledge you do so at your own risk.
LyoVial does not process credit card or payment information directly through the Site.
We retain your personal information for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you, and for a reasonable period afterward where we have a legitimate business or legal reason to retain it. After that, we take steps to delete it.
When you submit an inquiry or contact form, we treat that as consent to our collecting and using that information to respond to you. If we want to use your information for another purpose, such as sending marketing communications, we will ask for your express consent or give you a clear way to decline.
Third-party providers we use — such as our web hosting provider, contact-form service, and analytics provider — will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the service they provide us.
If you follow a link from our Site to a third-party website, you are no longer covered by this Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
